1. Talk to Boshu (que_ng 28,50) in the Ninja Guild in [[Amatsu]] (147,136). He'll ask you to bring him a {{item|id=2102 Guard <nowiki>[1]</nowiki>}}.

2. After bringing him the Guard [1], Boshu will examine it (but will not take it from you), then offer to create a slotted version of the Arm Guard if you give him 1 {{item|id=2102 Guard <nowiki>[1]</nowiki>}}, 1 {{item|id=2117 Arm Guard <nowiki>[0]</nowiki>}}, and 10,000 Zeny. (Arm Guard [0]s can be bought from Boonray in the Ninja Guild's supply room.)

3. Give him the required items and pay the fee, and the player will receive a slotted Arm Guard.

1. Talk to Toshu (que_ng 28,18) in the Ninja Guild in [[Amatsu]] (147,136). He'll ask you for 1 {{item|id=2104 Buckler <nowiki>[1]</nowiki>}}, 1 {{Item |id=2119 Advanced Arm Guard <nowiki>[0]</nowiki>}}, and 40,000 Zeny.

*Note: The NPC calls the Advanced Arm Guard an "Upgraded Arm Guard".

2. When you bring the items to him, he will warn you that there is a chance that the slotting process will fail.

*If he succeeds, you'll receive an {{Item |id=2120 Advanced Arm Guard <nowiki>[1]</nowiki>}}.
*If he fails, you'll receive 1 {{Item |id=12043 Bomber Steak}} as compensation for the lost items.
